I was delighted to see the Amgen Biotech Experience workshop in action in St.Andrews College, Blackrock. The next generation of Ireland’s budding young scientists.

The programme provides secondary school teachers with advanced training, curriculums and research-grade equipment to run biotechnology labs in their classrooms.

With this newest round of funding by the Amgen Foundation, an additional 5000 local students are expected to be reached across 400 classrooms in 48 schools over the next two years.
